Summer 1
Well, we have reached the final term of year 2, let's go out with a blast!
Week 1
A fun filled first week back!

In English we started our new book 'The King who Banned the Dark', we looked at predicting through looking at clues, for example a crown, robe, torch, dark is banned sign etc.

In Maths we continued looking at measures and this week we looked at measuring volume. We learnt the word 'capacity' and looked at different containers to see which one might hold more capacity. We tested this out by putting water in the containers, which at this point we also measured the volume with milliliters.
In PSHE we were learning about different families. We created a 'happy home cake' thinking about what is needed for a happy home. Some we came up with were love, laughter, kindness, respect, manners, helpful etc. We mixed up our cake and will now put it in the 'oven'.
In RE we are looking at the religion Judaism . This week we were focusing on the 'Torah' (the Jewish bible) and learnt about 'Simchat Torah' which is a celebration had once finishing the reading of the Torah. Our 'Jewish friend' Zoe tasked us to make some flags and mini torah for our our own Simchat Torah!
